Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after I contact you?
I will first make sure I am available for your wedding. I will then sort out all the logistics regarding pricing and timing for your big day.
What if someone else is interested in the same date? What’s the policy like?
I receive enquiries that fall on the same day. Bookings are on a first come, first serve basis, meaning the first client who sends the advance payment is booked for the date. I highly recommend booking at least 6 months in advance to avoid competing with other brides for the same date & time. Availabilities may change at any time without prior notice, so if you are interested, I would recommend securing your date as soon as you feel comfortable.
Do you travel on-site?
I absolutely do travel! I pride my business on being 100% mobile. It not only is easier for me, but also for my brides as they prefer to get ready at their venue, or at their home. This not only helps my client stay calm but also because they are most comfortable. My ideal work space would require ample light, a large table or counter space (to lay out the essential tools of the day), a big mirror and easy access to electrical outlets.
Is a Trial really necessary and if so when should I schedule it?
A Trial is not required as I have many years of experience and skill set to immediately adapt to the facial structure, skin tone / texture, theme /style and to provide detail-oriented results keeping your needs and goals in mind. All though it is necessary to have a conversation before the wedding to address any special needs that you may have. However If you still need to do a Trial it should be done 1-3 months before your big day or a few days before the wedding ( schedule permitting) and you need to call me in advance to book a Trial date.
Will my makeup really last all through the even or do I need a touch up?
I use only the highest quality makeup in my kit, that I know will deliver the requested results. After having done this for so many years, I have been able to narrow it down to the best performance products, that I know I can stand behind. All of the makeup I use is very longwearing /waterproof and does not require touch up. Several brides follow up with me after their wedding, to thank me for the fact that their makeup was still going strong after the reception!
Why do you request information about Day-of Scheduling of my wedding day?
To make sure you are completely ready by the time you need. It is essential to plan sufficient enough time for makeup during an already jam packed day. If you have a wedding planner, I could work out the schedule with your planner.
How long does the service typically take?
Bride Makeup and Hair takes anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours. I will arrive 15-30 minutes before the appointment to set-up. Additionally, I will need 15-20 minutes afterwards to pack-up and leave.
What else would you like me to know before booking you?
It is very important to me that my brides feel comfortable working with me, especially at such close proximity. I don’t ever want you to feel as though you can’t ask questions, or suggest a change in the makeup I’ve done (i.e., darkening the eye shadow, lightening the lipstick). I will welcome your input. I keep in contact with my brides once they book (touching base throughout the months & weeks leading up to their wedding day, helping arrange a makeup timeline etc).
What is the booking process like?
To book your dates with me you will have to make an advance payment which will be non-refundable/ transferable and we will provide you with an invoice for the same and block your dates.
When is the remaining payment due?
The remainder of your payment is due on your wedding day.
Do you ever do multiple events in a day?
Most of the weddings I have done, I have been double and even triple booked in the same day. As long as the timing of the event allows me to give sufficient enough time for all my clients, I do book myself out.
